2017 Fundraising Gala: "Love to Change Life"
GCS is excited to announce that the 2017 Fundraising Gala: "Love to Change Life" on May 9th at the Los Coyotes Country Club in Buena Park was a huge success! We sincerely thank all our sponsors, volunteers, and guests who attended. The gala night began with an opening address from the Director of GCS, Joseph Wonsik Im, and a prayer from Brea Mayor, Cecilia Hupp. The highlight of the night was the inspiring life testimony of our special guest Actor Ricky Kim and a heartfelt performance from his wife and Musical Actress Seung Ju Ryu. The gala continued with a documentary of Michael Namkoong and a touching piano performance by the talented youth with autism, who is a participant of our Healing Hands program for the developmentally disabled. It was an inspirational time of reflecting on how reaching out to an outcasted and disadvantaged neighbor is such a valuable gift of love.
GCS sincerely appreciates the generous support of our newest Platinum Sponsor, Elay Sung of the Downtown LA Auto Group, as well as Open Bank, City National Bank, and all the sponsors who donated items for our fundraising auction. We would also like to thank Young Kim, candidate for OC Supervisor & former assemblywoman, who is a great encouragement to us in serving the OC community.
